Review!!!!
I went to BLB at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh last sunday (part of the fringe festival). I went with my 5 year old, 17 month old and DH.
I had either red or been told (can't remember) that it was for kids but basically it is an opportunity for adults to have a dance/drink etc.
In reality, IMVHO it is like a children's birthday party without it being about 1 child with a bar
The music was ok, a mix of 60's to 90's - defintley not my sort of thing but the children loved it! There were loads of children under 2 and less over that, I'd say 5 was the top end although its is aimed at 0 to 7 year olds. The venue was lovley, very clean, baby change facilities, toilets very close by. There were lots of healthy snacks included, fruit, rasians, rice cakes etc and fruit juice to drink (could have done with water or something for under 2s).
There was a chill out area with big bean bags and a few toys. Party games in the main area and in a seperate room, face painting and a baby section.
Tickets were £8 each for any one walking which I'd say is good value for money.
Overall a good afternoon out for the children.
