DH and I have 10th Wedd Ann next month and we've bribed asked nicely for my mum to have children for 3 (yes thats 3) nights..whoop whoop!

Don't want to spend a fortune, but love comfort and food, so thought a good pub, (thinking thatched pub, roses growing up in abundance on outside with a chef to die for)as well as gorgeous rooms and four poster squishy beds.....all for under £140 a night?

In Devon/Cornwall/Dorset/Wiltshire/Somerset or south Wales (at a push as its a bit further away)

AM I STARK RAVING MAD?

Please advise....

I've stayed at both, but sadly not recently - I have them on my list for weekends away.
Location and buildings are definitely good, but looking at Tripadvisor, there seem to be quite a few bad recent reviews for the Oxenham Arms - possibly changed hands? Reviews for the Rock Inn are better.

We stayed a couple of tomes in The Queens Head o(or arms) in Corton Denham. It's on Somerset Dorset Borders and is lovely.
