Travelling with 10week old baby

Hi - am due for a short trip to Italy with my 10week old. I was intending to bring my bugaboo so that he would be able to sleep in while we walk around the town. However, having read up several comments about travelling with Bugaboo am not sure if bringing the carrycot is after all a good idea. Can anyone who has travelled on the plane with it advise whether it is worth bringing the carrycot along?

I would have to buy the Travel Bag but looking at it, it seems to fit the seat rather than the carrycot. Am just worried about the airline breaking my bugagboo which would leave me stranded without a buggy!

Otherwise, any suggestions on other buggies that I might be able to buy for travel. I already have the Maclaren but was told that he couldn't be in it at such a young age.

Tx

I'm sorry I can't offer much help about the bugaboo, but I did travel with my little boy when he was 9 weeks old, we took my M&P Pramette.

I did want to say that it was the easiest holiday I've had with children. Dom was so little he had milk, a bit of a look around and a kick, cuddles and then back to sleep. Easy times! I think the heat helped him to be more tired and he slept really well.

Have fun!
Sal
