Beach recommendations - hampshire, sussex

Thinking of taking our 2 toddlers to the beach for a day out -but don't know where to go. Where would people recommend - we live near Basingstoke so would be best to go West Sussex or Hampshire..any ideas appreciated!

not a beach but have you ever been to frensham ponds in hampshire? just near devils punchbowl

if you want sand, most of West Sussex is out of the question....

Worthing has a nice prom to walk along enjoying the breeze - sand flats at low tide only. have a look at this website

west wittering is lovely- good for kids they have colour coded sections with wristbands. get there early though to park.

Two suggestions West wittering for sand arrive early for parking or Littlehampton for nice pebbly beach with a little sand,ammusements and little fair
Look up website for West Wittering and Harbour park littlehampton to compare.

Thanks all - had a great day out at West Wittering today - lovely clean beach - good sand for sandcastles and clean loos etc... Will be back and Littlehampton is on our list too!
