jayzmummy, just saw on an old Travel thread that you live in Croyde? We're coming to Croyde for a week and just wondered if you could recommend some good things to see and do (DS id 3.10)? apart from the beach obviously (weather permitting).

I fell in love with my dh in Croyde - does that recommend it at all?

There is a place at Mullacott Cross ( at Braunton traffic lights dont turn left for Croyde carry straight on...big island turn left and follow the signs) that is called Once Upon A Time. Its a nursery themed play park with a little steam train and some rides for DS. Ideal for children under 5.

The Big Sheep is good for a day out. Theres a huge indoor play centre that has a designated toddler zone. Lots of slides and assault course type things. You can feed the baby lambs, watch sheep dogs hearding the ducks and they have the sheep derby at the end of the day.

In Croyde there is Casacades...indoor swimming pool that has slides and whirlpools, with a section for toddlers.

Theres a play park behind the village hall in Croyde...very close to the yummy ice cream shop!!!

Woolacombe is a good place to go for an afternoon. There are lots of little shops and ice cream parlours.

IMO the best beach to go to is Putsborough which is just around the corner from Croyde.

Where abouts are you staying???

We've been to Croyde about 4 times - it's fantastic! Eden Proj is possible from there and there are some good animal farm type places in the area.

We both went on a holiday there organised by mutual friends. We got together on the 2nd day (9 years ago) and have been together ever since

thanks Jazmummy, really appreciate it. We're staying in a cottage in Croyde. You are lucky living there.
