Thinking about buying one - but ds is 3 and a bit - would he be too big for one?

My friend bought them for her kids, 3 and 5 - nad they love them - although parents end up carrying them a lot more than they thought. but they said they're good for pulling them along in airports when they get tired.

go for it. Ds is nearly 5 and 120cm, if got his out the other day, just to ride round the kitchen :-)
we got it for a trip abroad when he was nearly 3. At least he'll be able to scoot himself along on it, or pull it himself. and being older, you wont be worrying about him falling off!

I bought my niece (3) a gruffalo one. It was an immediate gig hit but the pull along strap broke on it's first outing. My pregnant sister was very unhappy, as she then had two kids and a broken trunki to haul around Heathrow. trunki were very good and sent two new straps, but that didn't make up for the experience...

DD1 LOVES her Trunki but it doesn't actually hold enough for more than a weekend away.

Hoping just to use it as hand luggage?

I borrowed one this year for 3.5yo ds and it was great for pulling him along those long corridors to gates. Also held enough things to keep him occupied on plane for a couple of hours eg portable dvd player, ds, books, cars etc. Carried it as hand luggage. However, he was big for it this year and think he will have his knees round his ears next year. Is it worth buying for effectively one trip? Resale value on ebay good though, I think....

It would be fab for hand luggage. DD1 is 3.5 and I think we should get another year out of it.
