Flying to Brisbane to see family over christmas/new year

any tips on best time to book/who to fly with? Would like to be in england for christmas day then fly out either christmas night or boxing day but seems REALLY expensive OH thinks we should wait but I think it would be good to go out there for new year

Well just so long as you don't fly BA!!

We're going to Sydney and Sunshine Coast in Nov with Qantas; used them 3 yrs ago with no problems. Work colleague has just come back from Aus via Hong Kong using Virgin.

TBH I don't think there will be much flying out Christmas Day and it's a v expensive time of year to fly, as you've already found out. Gets booked up quickly too.
