Do you have Famous Five kids?

I feel that everyone else's kids are out doing wholesome activities in a Famous 5 kind of way ,bike rides in the park, picknicking, gathering berries, playing tennis... all mine seem to manage is trailing round shops (with strict instructions not to actually spend any money), watching films, wasting time on Facebook... Go on, make me feel like an inadequate parent by telling me your kids are out helping old people and washing cars....

No idea what mine is doing: he disappeared three weeks ago to to follow the circus and I haven't heard from him since. I am not worried because I packed him some rugs, a change of jeans, some hard-boiled eggs and ginger beer so I know he'll be fine Wink

Seriously, he is doing normal child stuff - some TV, some cinema, some DS but also some lounging around building lego and making things from Hama beads and some going out and about. Wish he would wash my car!

A bit of both- 6 weeks is a long time - we normally fit in a little bit of bike riding, berry picking and picnics, and we did book them on a short tennis course, but this still leaves plenty of time for telly and computer games. They've re-watched quite a few films on DVD - but we don't normally let them have the telly on before 4 o'clock or so.

We live in an inner city area with a lot of traffic, so any bike riding and picnic activities will need to include a grown up for a few years yet, so not very famous 5 at all really.

Its nice to have a bit of time to dig out their board games, and do a bit of craft stuff. Tomorrow we have to wait in for a plumber, so we're painting our papier mache daleks we made at the weekend, and probably making some stuff with air drying clay.
