Hi Chloe
I'm British, but live in Syria (damasscus) as husband works for Embassy here.
The heat won't be that bad in mid-sept.
I'd avoid drinking water out of tap - even cleaning your teeth - i'd use bottled water. You do get resilient, but if only for hols, I'd just be extra careful.
Food wise, it can be a bit hit or miss. I've had a bit of dodgy tummy from some of my favourite restaurants, but it's never been crazy bad - just a touch if that makes sense.
I'm currently 15-16 weeks pg - and the heat at mo is MAD... but it should def cut down in Sept.
My friend is licing in Lebanon and said the food is much better there than syria.
I think it's a bit common sense - as much as you might want to have the fruit juice from the seller, or a shwarma kebab, don't. Stick to bottled and canned drinks and eat in restaurants that look ok to you.
Feel free to CAT me if you want more advice - sadly i'm back home in UK whole of Sept - otherwise I'd try and meet up... but I can give you my hubby's details in case you need to contact someone urgently. :)
