We would love to take the kids out for the day either Thursday or Friday.

Been anywhere nice that you would like to reocommend. Aged 5-14.

Within about 20-30 mile radius of Watford.

Thnaks in advance.

Do you want to spend money or not?

Cheap places I go to regularly are Aldenham Country Park, Cassiobury Park, Verulamium Museum (St Albans), Ashridge Common, Stockwood Park (Luton), Natural History Museum in Tring. All are good for best part of a day in terms of keeping the dcs amused.

If I wanted to spend money, I'd either go into London or go to Legoland, Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park, Willows Farm

Thanks Decorhate

Dont mind spending some money. Been to Woburn Safari Park yesteday, went to Chessington today.

Somewhere that would be interesting for a teenager as well.

Been to Aldenham C Park a few times.

Would consider taking them to a Maize or something different.

Stockwood Park. Not strictly Herts, but well worth visiting (although better for younger ones than 14yo, perhaps). Website doesn't do it justice. Fab playground, lovely gardens, v. interesting museum, good coffee and ice creams.

Whipsnade (also not Herts ) is fab. Very ££ with 4 children though.

St Albans? Younger ones can play in the park, older one can go shopping or go to the Verulamium Musuem?

Willows is good but not for children over about 10, imho.

Go on the train to London??

Is Cambridge too far? Botanical Gardens, nice lunch, and a bit of shopping or bookshop browsing?

Much appreciated everyone, thanks

Hi everyone

This is where we went this week.

1 Wolborn Safari Park
2 Chessington World of adven... Great deal after 3pm. Free childs meal for every paying adult. My 14 yr was classed as an ault.
3 Milton Maze Maize (Milton)

Milton was a bit further afield but interesting. More suitable for children up to about 12.

I even enjoyed a go kart Pedal ride,

Thanks for your input, everyone!!
