Best airport hotel at Gatwick for toddlers

Hi all,

We love the Premier Inn at Heathrow because it has a nice restaurant with good choices for the children and also a small play area with a climbing course and slide.

Does anyone know of a similar hotel at Gatwick with facilities for children?

If not, does anyone have any tips of local playgrounds or good places to take children outside for a meal?

Thanks for any suggestions - really appreciated.

are you looking for somewhere actually AT the airport? or just in the vicinity?

the sofitel and hilton are on the airport itself, but neither have a play area as far as I know

Ten minute drive from airport would be fine. Think Heathrow Premier Inn seems to be on its own with the play area. Oh well : (

Sorry not aware of any hotels with a playground. Horley and Crawley have a range of family chain pubs some with soft play, Heathy Farm on the B2036 near the Crematorium has an outdoor play area (not visited in a long while though so can't comment on food) or the Parsons Pig on same road which I think is now attached to a Travel Inn. There is Arctic Jungle soft play in Crawley itself, or Tilgate Park but that is at least 20 mins from Gatwick.

there is the air balloon pub at Horley (wacky warehouse) which is a big soft play place attached to a pub
the pub is average pub chain stuff. not terrible, not great

arctic jungle has been closed for ages now. there is a soft play IN the Mall, at the end of the food court, and a new one opening up on Manor Royal at some point but can't remember where I saw the flyer for it
