Tips to get used to high humidity on holiday

I am off to Orlando during the last week of August for 2 weeks. I know, hottest period but it's the only time we are going to be able to go there at that price.

I'd love to know if there are any tips on how to quickly get used to the humidity. What clothes are best to keep you cool/not show sweat (yuk) and the best times of day to go out? And we are thinking about getting a Disney pass and wondered if there are queues all day or if we go later in the day is it quieter?

Go first thing in the morning - much cooler and less crowded. We like to stay in the park through lunch, and then go back to the hotel to swim/relax for a few hours in the hottest part of the day. IME, it is cool again in the evenings, but more crowded.

Are you fair, or do you tan? Even if you tan, the sun will be burning and intense.

Wear your most comfortable walking/standing shoes.
Take a rucksack with water bottles, sunscreen, etc.
Also, take a loose, long-sleeved very light weight cotton shirt that buttons. You can put it on over your summer vest tops for sun protection (think Arab style tops!). Must protect your shoulders and upper back.
Sunglasses are essential
Hat - though they can get very hot

You can also buy at Disney some water bottles with battery operated spray fans attached - put ice water in, and spray yourself.

Stop and sit down alot. Drink alot of water. Reapply sunscreen.

Thanks Earlybird. I am def going to buy long linens for all of us so we will be quite a sight! I think we'll take it easy the first few days but I am so nervous that it's going to be unbearable. OH has told me to get on the treadmill with hot fans blowing on me - EEK!
