Tell me where to go...

DS is 9 and an only. All he wants to do is meet some other kids to hook up with.

Camping in this country is great. We've just done a caravan holiday in the south east of England, which was a disaster for various reasons, but particularly cos it was so bleedin quiet on the sites! The holiday song was "Ghost Town".

We've done Italy on Vacansoleil places, but mostly Dutch / German kids there. Eurocamp is more expensive. A villa / gite is not a goer.

Where have you been (abroad) where kids play outside together? Is Eurocamp / Keycamp our only options?

apartment in block with pool in Spain - kids congregate at pool, but you don't know that other kids will be there at the same time.

P&V in France?

Is P&V quite sociable then?

Shame there's no Eurocamp in Greece. We fancy going there next.

we went when ds1 was nearly 5 and ds2 was 2.5
The one we went to was little townhouses with a big grass area at the back and all the kids played out there, which was great. And adults sat out keeping an eye on and chatted with others.
Guess it all depends on the people there at the time though.

I think what bothered me about the two Ghost Town sites we've just been to, is that manhy of the lodges were privately owned, and some even lived in all year round. Which is fine, but they tended to be either empty, or lived in by someone much older without children.

Awful holiday. Need to get something better next year.
