Going to Bournemouth next tuesday for a few days. Just wondered what would be good to do with a 3yr old and also would like some nice places to eat that would suitable with a child.

Thanks,

Jules

Have you got any transport ? If so Moors Valley is a good day out, loads to do, just make sure you take plastic bags. Poole Park is good, a big lake with lots of ducks etc (watch the geese and swans) play stuff and has a good cafe to eat in. There's something called Gus Gorilla next door which is an indoor soft play area. Farmer Palmers (Organford) is great for that age group and also good in wet weather. Alice in Wonderland goes down very well with this age group and has a new indoor bit for wet weather but I don't know what it's like. There's Bournemouth Sea Life but I've never been so can't say much about that and obviously the beaches etc. I never actually get into Bournemouth itself so I'm not very up on what's actually there but I'm sure one of the Bournemouth MNetters will be along soon.

Argh - no moors valley during summer holiday... Its completely packed

Are you wanting daytime activity type things, or just meal out?

My MIL lives in Bournemouth and when we visit we always hope for good weather as the beach is great. There's a swing park at the Alum Chine end sutiable for young children and a dotto train that goes along the beachfront which stops/starts just outside the swing park.

Daytime activities and places where we can go to eat in the daytime and also the evening which are child-friendly would be ideal. I hear there is a mexican restaurant in Bournemouth - Has anyone been?
