BA baggage allowance

Does anyone know if you're allowed to "pool" baggage with BA? Although we have 23KGs each for 4 bags (hence a total of 92), we were thinking we might get away with 2 or 3 bags, but they're likely to be heavier than 23kgs.
I know RyanAir won't let you do this, but am hoping BA will. Have trawled their website and cannot find anything specific about this.
And if you can pool, what's the upper limit for one bag?

Anyone?

No - They'll charge you for excess heavy bags - even if you are under your combined limit. trust me - I've travelled a lot over the past 10 years as my DH works for the foreign office, and the majority of UK airlines are VERY strict.

Sorry!

No, and the absolute maximum in a bag is 32 kg. And tbh, handing bags that big is a nightmare anyway - don't want to start your holiday doing your back in

They are very very strict. Very annoying now this 'new' one bag each rule (economy) has come in. Friends of ours got caught by it when they flew to USA just before it came in. They had two very small bags each, total much less than maximum weight but got charged a lot of money in excess baggage charges on way back as new rule had come in.

BA have got really strict in the past year - TBH they are getting a bit of a pain to fly with.

And sorry the answer to your question is no they wont let you pool your allowance. Nor will they let you take more than one bag in economy or two in business. And they weigh hand baggage!

Ah, forgot about hand luggage. Thanks.

I haven't flown with BA for 30 years and I guess I was labouring under the illusion that they'd be "nicer" than O'Leary and co. But then, we are talking about Willie Walsh so maybe not.

If you are flying WT (economy) the allowance per person is just one suitcase plus 1 piece of hand baggage. They will not permit pooling of luggage allowances.

They will not accept any case that weighs over 32kg.

Used them yesterday and they did not weigh hand luggage.
