Just noticed on my flight itiniery that I'm supposed to fill out the API 72hrs before. We're flying on friday to Majorca.

Can I do it now? Or is it too late? Will we be allowed on? .

Can anyone help??

Don't have mother-in-laws details as she is out having hair done until 3pm(aarrrgggghhhh!). As long as I do it today will it be ok?

Don't want to call the airline and ask in case they say "you're too late, you won't be able to fly". REALLY panicking now.

Monarch. Only noticed in on the itiniery when I was checking flight times. They didn't send me a reminder...

I thought you only needed to do for the States.

I suppose there's nothing I can do until MIL gets back.

Have a nice time in Majorca.

Stop panicking! If you haven't done it beforehand they will take the information when you check in. My parents went to Turkey with Monarch recently and they weren't even asked to do it beforehand, whereas we are flying with Easyjet and we did ours months ago when I booked the tickets.

They wont stop you getting on the plane so you can calm down now :-)

Yes, they will let you do it at check in. They just try to get as many people as possible to do it beforehand to reduce queues at checkin. The "Advance" part means that the info must be sent over to Spain by the time the flight arrives there.

What advance passenger information? We flew to Spain a few weeks ago and weren't asked for anything? Took ages at check-in though

DancingHippoOnAcid · 02/08/2010 00:49

lal - they were probably having to type in all the information at check in for you as you had not done it before getting to the airport. Info needed includes dates of birth, passport number etc - it can all be take from your passport I think but obviously takes ages if it all has to be inputted at check in.

What airline did you fly with?
