Flying with a baby - can I take a nappy bag AND my own carry on bag?

Just that really - flying to Canada on Friday, nappy bag is full of the usual, will the airline let me have my own bag as well? We're flying with Thomas Cook I think...

Ta!

Check with the airline website..they all vary.(Baggage allowance)

yes you can usually

Fayrazzled · 29/07/2010 07:44

My experience is that no, you can't, especially with the charter and no frills airlines like Jet2, easyjet etc. When I flew to Italy with my toddler I had to put my handbag in the change bag- I had to really stuff it in. What a pain.

Sorry, US, but you can't. You have the carry-on allowance, but your baby doesn't.

Thanks for the info, damn, I'm never going to get it all in the change bag! Last minute re-think required...

Why doesn't baby have a carry on allowance? All airlines I've flown with allows a bag for the baby

zebedeethezebra · 30/07/2010 11:15

Easyjet has a strict one bag policy.

With other airlines, not sure, but I've got away with a handbag and a carry on bag before with BA.

You could always take a very large carry on bag and put nappy bag inside with all your other clobber.

Don't think so. If you pay for a seat for the baby then you would get allowence. If baby is in a bassinet / on lap you have to stuff your handbag into their changebag till after security.

Scheduled airlines will mostly let you take two bags - the charter airlines don't.
