Where to go for a spa weekend without the kids

Going with a friend - needs to be within easy reach of London - any recommendations?

Greenwoods near Billericay in Essex is nice.
About 30 mins out of Liverpool St by train then a short taxi ride.

this place near brockenhurst in the new forest is lovely I've been here a couple of times and it's fab

also this place is also near brockenhurst it's the nicer hotel of the two but the spa is quite new and I haven't been although I've been told it's excellent

Brockenhurst is just over an hour on the train from london on a direct line.

Careys Manor is also near Brockenhurst and has a lovely spa.

Grayshott is Surrey has an excellent reputation and closer to London. Also Forest Mere in Hampshire.
