Activity family holidays for October half term

I am struggling to find a watersports based family activity holiday for October half term where the weather is guaranteed. I think that means the Canaries, but I can't see that the usual operators like Mark Warner, Club Med, Sunsail, etc, offer anything there. I think Greece and Turkey will be too unsettled weatherwise in October. The kids (pre-teens) would love to try dinghy sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing. Hubby and I just want nice food and a beach/pool to sit by and a bit of luxury! Surely not too much to ask? Any suggestions?

What about Mark Warner in Egypt?

Thanks - but we tried that last year and, whilst the weather was fab, and the kids loved the watersports, for us adults the food got a bit boring and it is a bit of a bother always worrying about tummy bug avoidance! Any other ideas anyone??

The Shangri-La in Oman has a good water sports centre; they offer a full PADI dive centre, sailing and kayaking lessons (but not sure about dinghy sailing) weather should be lovely in October and its not too far, just 7 hours for some guaranteed sunshine. Another suggestion would be The Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque in Tenerife which has an amazing water sports program including: hang gliding, jet ski, parascending, water sports: diving, windsurfing, sailing, water ski, deep sea sport fishing, whale watching. The weather would be nice plus its only a 4.5 hour flight. Depending on the ages of your children, they also have some very good evening entertainment. Lovely location and excellent food
