I've looked throught he archives on Centre Parcs and got loads of tips - we're really close to booking for November but I'd like to be close to the leisure facilities and wondered which cabins are closest as I can't really tell from the map on the website. Any advice appreciated

Hi Bubblerock,

have been to Whinfell Forest twice. This summer we stayed in Badger Wood in a lodge almost beside the Lakeside Inn pub (very handy ) and also only a few minutes away from the sports centre.
Last year we were in Three Oaks which was a bit further from things but still within very easy walking distance.

It is new accomodation very near to the butterfly centre.

lol sorry bubblerock!
We have also stayed in seven pines and fell view too if that helps.
It really depends on which accomodation you want though as only certain types are in certain areas.

I'm just really lazy

would really reccomend where we stayed last year then, centre just round corner .
accomodation is executive so it includes maid service, and kids have own en- suite and tv in their rooms which they love!

We stayed in Bilberry Wood too. Very close to the center - so much so that we didn't bother with bike hire during the 5 day stay. Also the lodges in Bilberry looked very new.

We are looking at going on 14th November - I've found a couple of discount codes DABS etc.. but they don't seem to work every time has anyone got any really good codes?

DON't go! it's horrible. Sorry but we went a few years ago and never again, supposed to stay 3 days, left after 12 hours

spykid · 22/08/2005 17:24

I think bubblerock has had enough negative comments about cp today.
was asking for tips....

katierocket · 22/08/2005 17:28

alright - touchy jeez, is this a public board or not

bubblerock · 22/08/2005 21:22

Thanks SpyKid - still haven't booked yet, November seems so far away but I know after the Summer season and illuminations we're going to need a break somewhere and it will be great for the kids to just run riot. I can't really think of anywhere else to go in November that will be fun for the kids too so it does seem ideal

Hi,
We had a lovely time there, one of our best breaks ever, stayed at Foresters lane, a 3 bed woodland lodge, it was brilliant and even for us at that time, 3 yr old triplets, found it a very short walk to the pool facilities.

bubblerock · 23/08/2005 22:12

I still haven't booked but I am keen, it's £218 for 4 nights midweek (I'll take DS1 out of school) I can't seem to find an alternative for that money on 14th November

Just come back from Oasis Whinfell after first visit - thoroughly enjoyed it - DD1 - 4yrs and DD2 2yrs (in two weeks!) - stayed in Meadow View - about 10min walk from centre - lovely walk - hardly needed the buggy (only for carrying the shopping!) - would recommend it - couldn't really fault anything. Go on - book it!!!!!!!!
