Any one got an opinion?

Looking to go away from the 27th of Dec for 1 week.

Don't want too longer a flight and want to keep costs down.

I've been to Malta in late Nov. It was sunny and we were able to wear trousers, sandals, tshirt and a light sweater, but it was not sunbathing weather. The only guaranteed nice winter sun I think, without going long haul is the canaries as they maintain the same temp roughly year round and the deals aren't too bad. I can recommend Costa Calma at Fuertaventura.

However, if it is a straight choice between Malaga and Malta- Malta has lots of sightseeing and good food- the grand harbour is truly grand and if you're into your history and glass its a great visit.

malta

thanks. We've looked in the Canaries and the flights are approx £100/person more which for 8 of us is a lot.

Malta looks promising - only snag is outdoor pools which don't seem to be heated, where as the ones in Malaga are.

I went to Malta a few years ago and if you are over 50 its great! It might have been the resort we were in but i certainy wouldnt return

Malta- we've been 4 times for winter sun. It's less closed down out of season than Malaga and there's loads to do if the weather's not bright.

thank - think Malta may have won out - just need to here back if the villa we'd like is available - then here we come!
