it was definitely windy when we went at the beginning of June but it wasn't obtrusive. It kept the rain away so we didn't complain .

I'm not sure whether it will still be windy over the peak summer months?

We've known it calm and windy (mistral). On the whole calm though.

Oooh, whereabouts are you going and when? You'd be surprised but the weather is incredibly localised in the Languedoc.

We go there several times a year, usually the summer, Easter and Christmas and my parents go sporadically in between so between us, we see it in all seasons!

I don't think i've ever seen it "exceptionally windy" though. You do get a nice breeze which is very welcome in the summer months

yes, can be windy, but warm wind. The cloud pissed me off no end. It tends to linger over the pyrenees and i spent the whole time willing it to move. BUT i love stinky hot sun, so this weather would probably suit most.

we would be going to a eurocamp 4 miles from beziers...what do you think aznerak? windy? i dont want to spend the week rubbing sand out of the kids suncream...... and being exfoliated by the windy sand!

that's not far from my parents' villa! I am not sure exactly where the eurocamp is, but we are just outside Beziers so know the general area well.

Some beaches are definitely windier than others. When are you going?

What sort of beach are you looking for?
