Girly day in London

My friend is over from America and we are going to meet in London for the day. Where should I take her? Would like to walk, have a nice lunch, see some sights etc.

Don't mention the London Eye as I would rarther have all my teeth pulled out without pain relief. (Hate heights)

Restaurant ideas would be most welcome. She likes plain food, burgers, steaks etc whereas I appreciate good food.

How about starting off in Covent Garden and spending an hour or so there. Plenty to see.

Lunch at Maxwells in Covent Garden should suit both tastes.

Then walk through to the West End, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and then down to Trafalgar Square followed by a walk along the Mall to Buckingham Palace.

If you still somewhere after that, grab a taxi to Harrods.

thanks, that sounds good. I go to London occasionally but don't do too much touristy stuff so not sure where to start.

Afternoon tea somewhere?

I did think about afternoon tea but my friend used to be a bit of a health nut so decided against it.

I used to be a bit of a health freak too but hey life's too short.
