When do you pack?

IM itching to pack were going on holiday next Saturday, i fell it may be to early!

Were only going to Wales for a week but this holiday is sooooo needed after the year we have had. I feel i may be a little over excited!

We are going in 4 weeks so are currently at the list making stage

i'm really bad! i am always packing the day we go and it drives dp mad! sometimes i even have clothes that i have to pack damp and dry when i arrive!

I pack last minute - night before and sometimes even that morning. I have tried getting it done earlier, but it doesn;t work for me. I like to get all the washing done, DH gets the ironing sorted - then last minute we pack it all and go.

A friend of mine packs a couple of weeks in advance, but is then in and out of the cases taking stuff out, adding new stuff, etc. I reckon she ends up taking more as a result.

We go away a week tomorrow, but have family staying with us on Saturday - so will have to pack on Friday.

I also pack last minute, if nothing else then it means the clothes are squashed in a case for less time and hence less creased.

And if I try to start early, I lose track of what's in and what isn't and it's no benefit at all.

I am mystified when people say, two weeks before you're due to go: 'are you all packed then?'

Er no, why would I be? And what would we wear if all our clothes were packed away?

We go a week Monday and I'm still making emergency shopping trips!

We are off to France on Friday for a week. Is it too soon to pack do you think?
