Hi all,

am going on my honeymoon in two weeks and for the first part of our trip we have three days in New York.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has ideas about lovely and cool stuff to do and places to eat, apart from the main touristy bits, cos we are already booked for the Statue of Liberty and so on, but want to see if there are some things which we wouldnt realise that we shouldnt have missed, if you get what I mean

Main tip is don't try and rush around and do everything beacuse you simply won't have the energy to do it.

For a treat, I would recommend booking a limo from the airport to your hotel. Arrive in style and it really isn't that much more expensive than a normal cab.

Spend at least half a day if not longer, taking a walk around Central Park. A much better experience of New York than visiting many of the other normal touristy things people do. Get a picnic from Zabars (2245 Broadway at 80th Street) and find a spot in Central Park to eat it.

Another 'experience' I would recommend is lunch (pastrami sandwich) at Katz's Deli (205 East Houston Street). Famous for THAT scene in the film, 'When Harry met Sally'

And finally, try and get tickets for either a Broadway show or a New York Yankees baseball game.
