As title says really.

We're going to Mauritus for 2 week
Don't know if to take our much loved phil and Ted's (poss in a travel case?? Anyone used?)

or buy a cheapie lie flat with hood etc (sunshade-Prob buy blackout cover)

Will be sleeping 2hrs + in day in it and prob couple hrs in eve (while we eat/drink-If get away with it!!)

Any ideas??

Would never ever take a decent buggy away again. We had wheels knocked off - and they aren't covered by airline insurance.

Even if you leave at plane door and collect as disembarking, there's a lot of baggage handlers in between.

i would have taken my big pram if i had of been able to fit it in the travel bag. i have a phil and teds travel bag and it seems sturdy enough-although this is a really old one so maybe they have changed? we ended up buying a maclaren techno xt for travelling and a travel bag for it-we use it up to the gate and then pack it and all the other stuff in it and then only have to take a nappy and wipes on the plane. definitely would use a travel bag though as ours was ripped last time i got it back with the luggage but buggy was fine.

Please think long and hard about taking your P & T on the flight. We bought one last year together with a travel case to use on a flight but even so it got minor damage (to handle) and as BooKanga says, it is not covered by the airline insurance.

We had a flight a few weeks ago and took our car seat which was a really expensive one from the states which has wheels that pop out underneath and a handle that pulls up from the top for ease of use at the airport and those ever so careful baggage handlers managed to break it.
We bought a cheap quinny (from ebay) that folds up so small you can take on the plane and would recommend that.
