we are hoping to go to chicago with our 6 month old but i dont know how we would get from the airport or get around the city?
has anyone else done similar? did you just put your little one on your lap or take a car seat with you?

you can do both really depends on how much you are going to be in the car and how comfortable you feel without using a carseat for your little one. you can checkin the carseat for free and collect it when you get off the plane. if you are doing any highway travelling, i'd suggest take a car seat.
you might want to have another thread with Chicago in the subject so ppl who have travelled there may share their experience with transportation.

sorry i forgot to mention if you are driving or your friends are driving you, you NEED a carseat.. in taxi, it's not required by law to have a carseat..
