Weather majorca mid sept?

Looking at booking up a holiday in middle to end of Sept. Keen to get an appartment in Peurto Pollensa area as loved our holiday there many years ago.
Now have 2 young children so keen for it to be dry as will need to keep them entertained.

So if you've been in September was there much rain?

we went later than that, October and the weather was still warm and dry

we went oct. half term last year (was second half of month) and weather was lovely, warm and dry.

The island was pretty waterlogged though and they had apparently had rain solidly the week before. I think this was very unseasonal though.

Pollensa is a beautiful part of the island, you'll love it!

We went early/mid September 3 years ago for a week and it rained nearly all day for every day but two. I wouldn't do it again tbh. I think Greece would be a better bet weather wise.

We went to Mallorca in Sep in 2003 and it rained for 4 out of the 7 days we were there.
Saying that we are going to Portugal in the first 2 weeks of October this year so I am crossing my fingers it is a lovely Autums in the Med!

I think it just luck of the draw in Sep/Oct time.

We went last september, we were there for 2 weeks and rented 2 houses for a week each. Week 1, 60% rain, but got on with it, spent some time driving around looking at the island, which is beautiful. Week 2, rained solidly for first 2 days and we had enough! Ended up getting early flight back and relaxing at home - in the sun!! I suspect sept. is a bit late to guarantee sunshine, could be mixed. I personally wouldn't go at that time of year, was an expensive mistake!

Must hide this thread from DP. Just booked Majorca for 28 Aug for a week and told him the weather will be great. I talked him out of Greece due to longer flight with 6 month old... fingers crossed for us.
