Aagh - things have changed. More used to looking at nice a la carte hotels for couples. But we so need a break with a bit of time to recover from being so busy all the time.

We have three children - aged 3, 5 and baby of 18 months. Looking for a really nice hotel on the beach with a lively atmosphere but not totally overrun with children. Looking for a kids club which takes younger children.

Want 4 star but it doesn't have to be really luxurious - can't be anyway as our budget is at the most £3000 for hopefully 10 days. Used to spend more but I don't think we need to just to give the children some fun.

Very keen on Cyprus or Portugal but would also think about Spain. Want a nice sandy beach though and not in a resort full of cars. Somewhere pedestrianised or low-rise buildings/quiet, but still with things for children. Am I being too unrealistic here? Perhaps!

Any thoughts I would be so so grateful. I have been so busy I just haven't had any time to look at brochures. Hence a need for a break!!! : )

We went there in May (Tunisia)

Was less than £3000 for a family of 6 for two weeks (high season will cost more than what we payed though). very quiet, swimming pool, private beach...

There is a kids club but it is only opened at certain times and it is indoor. As well if your child is younger than 4yo you have to stay with them.

We had a fantastic time but it was very quiet I do not know hoe relaxing it is if you go in high season when hotel (not rooms BTW, appartmnents that do happen to be more specious than average 2 bed semi) is really full

sorry for typos!

Thanks for that. Been to Tunisia before and really enjoyed it but got food poisoning. I forgot to mention that I am 6 months pregnant so I am a bit worried about going anywhere too different. Did consider sharm El Sheik but decided against it for that reason. Thanks again : )
