OMG They won't cancel our holiday... will they?

I have just realised that we have completely forgotten to pay the balance on our gite, due 3 weeks ago

We paid a deposit in March (confirmed by them) but had no reminder for the balance and it totally slipped my mind.

Please tell me they won't cancel and re-let it without telling us

Sorry, but normally they would. Call them tomorrow and see if you are lucky. I almost forgot to pay the reminder this year, and when I got the letter out of the cupboard, I realised it said very clearly "you will not receive a reminder". It must be a new system, as in previous years I always got one.

Eek that's scary!

Rang them first thing in a panic, and laid-back owner man said "no worries, either pay now or when you get here", which is not what it says in the contract.

Phew, we still have a holiday
