Excited that series 7 of Dan Jones podcast, This is History starts on Tuesday. This series is covering the reign of Richard 2nd. I came across this by accident as series 1 started with the first Plantagenet king, and got hooked. The podcast covers that period of our history in a really entertaining way. If my history teacher was Dan, I would have probably git much higher grades. Give it a listen.

Start at the beginning. The ads get a bit intrusive, but you can fast forward those. After series 1, we visited Poitiers which is a brilliant medieval city, with a modern uni, so very vibrant. Then went up to Fontevraud Abbay where Eleanor of Aquitaine ended her days. A lovely village, which we would not have visited without the podcast.
