PTLLS - interview help!

Hi, I have finally got round to organising an application to do PTLLS when DD will be 10 months - really hope I haven't made a mistake - has anyone else done it with little ones?

Also, the interview letter says we will have to undertake a "hand-written pre-course task" - what on earth could it mean? What did your course interview consist of and did you take anything with you?

TIA

Did teacher training when my youngest went to primary school - so not quite as brave as you but I was pregnant again when DS1 was 10 months!

My qual is equivalent to DTLLS. I am only in a position to give you an experienced opinion as I do not interview PTLLS but my guess would be that they need to take on students who can construct sentences and write to a reasonable standard of English, hence the written task.

Good luck

Thanks MOB! I guess there's still time for me to be pregnant then !!

I did wonder if it was as simple as that, but I then thought they could perhaps assume a certain standard from my having a degree and professional qualifications etc, and got worried again! Maybe I am worrying about nothing. Thanks so much for replying

Hi FessaEst - I'm just about to finish my PgCE in Post-Compulsory Education which is equivalent to the DTLSS - and first year was PTLSS level.

The entry process consisted of an application form, a timed essay, an interview and a group discussion as far as I remember.

Good luck, keep us posted as to how it goes.
