GDL study patterns - how much work is involved.

After many years in HR (in private and public sectors), I've decided to retrain as a Solicitor and specialise in Employment Law. Basically, I don't know many in HR that are taken seriously and it's incredibly frustrating as we work extremely hard and I really want the credibility of 'knowing my stuff'.

I plan to do the GDL next year full time followed by LPC (College of Law, Moorgate).

However, my question to those who have done it (and have families), what was your timetable like? Where you at college 10-4, then go home, feed and bathe kids, cook for husband and then study from 8-10? Is two hours of study per night enough? I am prepared to put in the hours, but I also want to be realistic. I think college is perhaps 4 days per week.

If you could let me know what your study patterns were and any tips, I'd be grateful!

Thanks, x
