Hiya looking into the idea of doing an open university degree in psychology looks like it lasts 6 years at 16 hrs study per week.

does anyone do something similiar and work full time ?

wondering if its possible !

No personal experience but my friend did a maths degree like that whilst being a full time mum. She did most of the work in the evenings after they'd all gone to bed. I think it was tough as I barely heard from her whilst she was doing it, but she did finish it and it landed her a good job in the end that she loves. Good luck with it.

My best friend is coming to the end of her Ou psychology degree!

For the last few years, she has been doing full time study (120 points per year) plus working 25 hrs a week, with other family/boyfriend/social commitments on top of that!

So I would say it certainly is possible!

I'm presuming that if it's going to take you 6 years to complete then you'd only be doing it part time, by my calculations, you'd have pretty much the same workload as her regarding work etc

By the way, I've just started a degree with OU and can't reccomend it enough! They're brilliant, and often pretty flexible aswell.
