How do you choose?

Is anyone about to apply for next year and struggling to decide what they want to study?

Or does anyone who is currently at University have any advice on how to choose a course? They all sound so interesting but I'm trying to be practical and think of the career prospects not just choose a course that I'd enjoy.

I can't decide between Pure chemistry, Applied chemistry with chemical engineering, chemistry with teaching or forensic and analytical chemistry.

I'd appreciate any advice.

my lord thats a combination of courses, Sorry I have absolutely no advice.

Just curious what you would do with those qualifications??

Any chemistry related job really, the degrees I mentioned open up the possibility of a number of interesting careers in chemistry, though my main love is forensic toxicology.
I am considering becoming a chemistry teacher, I think I'd be in heaven doing that.

Depending on which universities you're considering applying to, it may be a good idea to contact the admissions tutor for the course, to get advice. I did this for my MFL degree and the uni. staff were extremely helpful.
