DC is looking for colleges in London for 16-18 which offer this type of courses. They want to study part time and work the rest of the time. Founded courses or apprenticeships.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

An apprenticeship, say in marketing (tho likely to be full time tbh) is possible but I suspect more likely post 18.

What qualification would they be seeking? I am not aware of a post-16 PR qualification. Have they considered something like a Btec in business admin? Again, if equivalent to three A levels it would be FT not PT. Why do they want PT? Although a lot of college courses are not actually FT in terms of contact hours.

They might be better taking A levels or Btec and looking at a PR or comms degree? Not loads of jobs tho tbf. Do they do any marketing or socials outside school now?

They are not academic. They are looking st studying 2 days per week so they can work. Dont want A levels so looking at Btec or level 3 courses

Hmm most colleges will want a commitment to a full-time course for funding reasons tbh. As I say, that doesn't mean five days of 9-3 but it would usually be more than two days IME.

When you say not academic what do you mean? Are they likely to pass their GCSEs? (I am assuming they are going into year 11 this sept). If HE is unlikely I would recommend an apprenticeship. That would include working and earning money as well.

I just had a quick search and a few came up under marketing for post 16. Obvs if they are still in school they need to look next spring or summer.

Have a look at Global Academy. No personal knowledge I’m just aware of it as local. https://globalacademy.com/study/sixthform/

This looks great but a bit far from us. Looking at central London colleges

Level 3 UAL Diploma in Visual Communication would match their interests, but I'd say they'd need to attend for more than 2 days a week https://ucg.ac.uk/course/visual-communication-level-3-extended-diploma-paddington-green?courseType=1618
