Exeter uni - single studio accommodation worry

We’ve just been given DDs accommodation for her first year at Exeter. She really wanted to be in a shared flat, but she’s been given a single studio in Creedy House, Duryard.

It looks like there’s massive demand this year so don’t know if there’s anything we can do. But does anyone know Creedy? Or anything about it? Just don’t want her to be isolated. Hard to know from the website what it’s like there.

Most halls will have a load of activities during Freshers' Week, and there will be ongoing activities. There are also all the extra-curricular societies & clubs - Exeter has rather a lot of them, when I've been there (as an External Examiner).

It seems like a very sociable university, going by the queues for the student nights at the nightclubs in town & the activities I've noticed on campus when I've visited at various times during term. So she'll have lots of opportunities for meeting a range of other students.

She won’t be far from campus. Campus is lovely, green and extensive. She’ll soon make friends and might enjoy a bit of peace for studying in her studio.
Exeter is a great city, lots going on, historical, fabulous quay & river, quick bus to the beach at Exmouth. What’s not to like?
Stop worrying mother, she’ll be fine.

She'll be on Streatham campus,she'll be fine. Ds was in a house right down by st David's station- he was fine. They are very good and rounding up all the new kids and taking them to the pub on the first day.
