What colleges are your Lancaster hopeful DCs leaning toward, and why?

I’m not very helpful as my info is twenty years out of date but hopefully this will bump it for you. In my day, the choice of college was strongly related to the price of accommodation- at that time County was cheap with huge shared kitchens and Pendle had the more expensive en-suites for example.

Dc was in the County townhouses and loved it, 12 to a house, 4 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms to a floor. They had ducks that visited every day

This was me a decade ago! The baby ducks come right to the door asking for cereal lol. We loved it. Only 2 people to a bathroom.

Grizedale as it apparently has the reputation for being the most sociable, and has the cocktail bar. He has been allocated a Grizedale Townhouse, so is hoping for a full-on experience!

Pendle is the best! But everyone thinks their college is the best. Ultimately they will have a great time in their college whichever one they choose. I had one of the new (20 years ago) Pendle en-suite rooms which was luxury.

I have just been back to Grizedale for their 50 year reunion- i'm not that old I was there in 1993-6. Grizedale is the best but as others have said everyone thinks that about their own college- fab university.

My daughter has been allocated her 1st choice of Pendle. She liked the fact it was a little bit further out from Alex Square (although nowhere is far) so she would feel like she was going home from classes

My dd has just finished her first year in Furness. I think it has some of the cheapest accommodation (that's why she chose it) and is very central for the library/bus station/most departments so she could practically roll out of bed and get to lectures on time. She's only made it to the Trev once however, more likely to get a bus with friends to go to Spoons in Lancaster.

I think I'd choose what accommodation you want and choose the college based on that.
