My dd was told that if you study e.g. bio medical sciences or animal sciences at Nottingham you can become a member of their riding society and even bring your own horse. Is this correct? Are there other unis offering this?

I have know personal knowledge but the Nottingham uni website shows there is a riding group for students at Sutton Bonnington campus (vet med etc). Whether you can bring your horse I don't know but you could email. Not the best time of year to get an answer tho.

Biomed at Nottingham is based at the QMC tho, not SB campus (which btw is a few miles out of Nottingham). Animal science is at SB.

Thank you I thought bio medical was also at the Sutton Bonnington campus.

Well you may have updated intel – the website says QMC but that may just be for part of the degree.

I would say SB has quite a specific appeal btw – it's not in Nottingham at all (nearer Loughboroguh tbh) but if someone is passionate about the subject above all then it might be a great fit.

Yes, you can take your horse. But there are rules about it being available for teaching purposes (I'd email and check). Stables near SB campus
QMC is the hospital and medical school is part of it. It's a 20 minute (free) bus ride to SB.
