Foundation is currently a lottery number (really hope this changes before yours graduate). And speciality training needs either MSRA exam or portfolio points system. After that it's Royal College exams. And DD says the Krebs cycle has been in every single exam she's taken so A level Bio was useful 😂.

Good luck with next steps for everyone. Hope now dust has settled that plans can be made moving forward.

Thanks for the intel on Bangor - I didn’t realise that. It will be well off the table then as although DD is a quarter Welsh she is not a linguist!

Hi

my DC is currently going into 3rd year at Bangor. We are London based and just to confirm, she loves the course. Everyone from the uni to placements is really friendly and supportive. There is a real mix of students, from Wales and all over the UK. The level of Welsh that is expected for non Welsh speakers is really quite low, just general greetings etc. and to the best of my knowledge, this is covered 1 hour a week in first year. Whilst it is rural, they do have lots of fun with days at the beach etc and the train links are excellent so her and her friends often have days/evenings out in Liverpool/Manchester/Chester.

I feel a bit of an intruder on this thread as I am offering advice from a year ahead. Feels like it should be someone with a fresher away to start.

Nothing sophisticated- just c&p the link for the other thread. Anything more complicated than that is beyond me 😂
