Has anyone had any experience of pending results with the Open University? Was due to receive my final result for yr 3 today but it’s saying my results are pending. My job relies on this and I’m so stressed but there’s no information been given at all

Is there anyone at the OU you can contact directly to find out? That would be my instinct, call / email / chase.

and best of luck!

Unfortunately it says they can’t respond to phone calls during the 6 weeks due to the volume of calls and I’ve contact student services who say to expect a response in 10 working days, it just feels your left in limbo with no support at all

what about your tutors who you've had direct contact with? I would write to one of them and ask if they have advice or if they can nudge someone in in the admin dept to get a move on (politely of course)

Yes I’ve sent them an email too with no response yet. Thank you for your suggestions. My 3rd year experience with the professionalism of the OU has been poor but I never dreamt it could be this poor!

I think it's poor at every single university at times - simply because they don't have any "professional standards" to live up to as an institute of education.

The tutors won't know any more than you do, and have no power to speed things up either. Unfortunately you just have to be patient. Hopefully they will prioritise those waiting for the final result in their degree.

Of course they have power to speed things along administratively - especially if they're a head of dept.

I promise you that they don't. Tutors at the OU are not heads of departments.
