Does it still apply if you have grades in hand, or just to students who are awaiting grades?

Thanks

You can't discuss things with applicants that might even slightly hint at whether or not their place is confirmed. So, do you have e.g. a deferred place which is absolutely secure? Or are you still waiting on confirmation.?

Thank you - DC has a confirmed place but is debating giving it up for one in clearing, and wondered if we need to do it before the embargo.

An embargo is an embargo. We have to treat all applicants in the same way.

Thank you

Not sure what benefit there is of giving up place before results….as once it’s given up it’s gone, unless the place you want is already available in Clearing. You’d be in the same position once results are out if you’ve still got your current place. There will be more choice once results are issued. You could be on the websites the night before and from 6am and in the phones at 8am to snap up the place you really want. Would def help to be pretty sure of what your top 3 choices would be.
