How everyone feeling in here ?

Doing ok, managing to distract ourselves ok till results day

young person still happy with plans and Choices so no changes of hearts etc so far

starting to feel a bit more real

I have two going away at the same time. DD is starting to experience excitement about her course, mixed in with a dose of imposter syndrome. DS is completely not phased yet, like he hasn't grasped it is real.

Each applied with grades in hand so it's a done deal.

I would have thought it would seem more real for them esp as they know it’s a done deal

yeah I think it seems real to her but not to him, where time is an abstract concept

The last of my 3 DC leaves for uni this summer.. DD is off to Canada before results day to play football and do a degree!
She needs AAB, not sure what happens if she doesn't get that, as she will already be there for preseason!
Going to miss her like mad. Once my DSs leave for their next unit year it will be a proper empty nest.

its a weird one as you don’t wanna wish the summer away
yet you wanna know what the results are and where your grown up kid is going

Our youngest is waiting results. Helpfully she’s decided she’s absolutely not going to her insurance choice, so is taking a look through clearing to get ideas in case it’s necessary. Not as dramatic as her brother who changed his course this time last year while waiting results, but more interesting than strictly necessary!
