hi so DD lost her passport - definitely in the house but its just not turning up and she's booked on a holiday before Uni. One more go at finding!
But we had photocopy of passport details - my father has always said to make a note!!! I gave this to DD to use for identity bit.
but as we need to apply for new passport I rang StudentFinanceEngland and asked how long for identify check, explained situation as i didn't want to cancel passport before they did the check.
BUT it transpires DD had said on application no passport (she hadn't updated this bit when I gave her the details) and hadn't uploaded birth certificate either. I am so glad I phoned.
We uploaded the birth certificate -short one that's all i had which they said was ok - and DD saw a message "will take 7 days" - note sure if to receive upload or check.
So question is has anyone had experience of the identify check, is it ok with the short birth certificate as I really need to get on with applying for new passport?
Over-worrying but had i not called today.......
