Hi. My daughter applied for an HNC course but due to low numbers (only 2) they cancelled the course and offered her a lower NC course. This means she will no longer get SAAS, which was covering the rent…. Will she get a bursary?

Amount of bursary (and other help) will depend on parental income or whether she's self supporting. Higher if she is care experienced. Is course full time?

Was she previously on a higher level course (you say she will no longer receive SAAS)? She might get other help too eg travel if she's over 22. College website should have full details of funding.

Is it not possible to find the HNC course at a different college, or choose a different one rather than accept the NC ?

Thanks everyone. It’s going to be too late to apply elsewhere and she has her accomodation sorted. I’ll just need to find a way. Thank you
