Bath University - anyone still waiting to hear about an offer?

My dd has applied to do Politics at Bath. She has received offers from the other four unis she applied to but is still waiting to hear from Bath. If she doesn't get offered a place does she just not hear or will she get an email saying she hasn't been offered a place? Thanks.

In 2023 my dd got her psychology offer in 3rd week of April, that year they aimed to get all offers/rejections out by end of April.

No, but mine is still waiting for Southampton, it is very frustrating.

BrieAndChilli · 14/04/2025 21:21

DS was still waiting for Bath and Bristol but his top choice is Exeter and the accommodation applications opened at the beginning of April (first come first served) so he decided to with draw from the others so he could accept Exeter.

@BrieAndChilli , you might want to add it's only the penryn campus that is first come first served to not panic parents!

Thanks everyone. We had heard that Bath always leave it late but thought that would be towards the end of March rather than April.

Dd received her Bath offer very late in March. In fact that, and the UCL offer received just after, were made six months after she put her preferences in. Such a long time waiting!

If universities decide not to give an offer, applicants are often notified on UCAS and receive no other notification.

EffortlesslyDecluttering · 15/04/2025 09:21

Ah, I'll ask DD if she has checked UCAS, I assumed they'd get an email for any status change.

RoseTulips2023 · 16/04/2025 10:08

DD has now had an offer of AAA. They haven't into account her Scholar's Programme whereby they said they would drop a grade. Just spoke to admissions and need to email but we won't hear back for a week or more with it being Easter.

My DD says she's been checking her UCAS every day and no news. Oh well.

Dd got her offer from Bath for criminology in March. She is going to the offers day this Wednesday.

Bandycoot12 · 20/04/2025 21:33

DD’s Psychology offer came through only a week ago. It’s really unfair to leave it so late. Leaves very little time to plan a trip to the offer holders day, and no chance to secure cheaper rail tickets. The whole UCAS system is really rubbish.

doubleshift · 22/04/2025 23:02

Sill waiting for Bath (and Bristol)! So unnecessary and unfair. Application submitted early October FFS. Will getting accommodation be a problem now?

BrieAndChilli · 23/04/2025 10:30

DS withdrew from Bath and Bristol as he had an offer from Exeter which was his first choice. It is really unfair the way the system works as a lot of accomodation portals opened at the beginning of April and you can only apply if you have accepted an offer. Lots are ballot systems but the cornwall campus for Exeter is first come first served so DS didnt want to miss out on his choice of accomodation.

Either accommodation etc shouldnt open until after the UCAS deadline for offers has closed and all students have had all thier offers or UCAS should only show offers on the same day
