Which university?

My daughter has now had all her offers in, she plans to study chemistry. She is completely stuck between her top two - Bristol and UCL.

Does anyone have children at either or know much about either university? Any advice would be appreciated!

They’re very different in terms of living - does she not have any preference between the cities that might swing it one way or the other?

@jambunnyUnfortunately not - she said she’d be happy living in either city!

Mine had these as her top two, ended up at Bristol ( 2nd choice) but is delighted to be there. Obviously neither is a campus university but Bristol is a very easy city to be a student in. Very vibrant, something for everyone, very chilled. It's also a lovely city and the students tend to inhabit the nicer parts ironically! Accommodation is expensive but it's still cheaper than London. Personally I think London unis can be better for post grads ( my daughter's teachers advised this too) Hope that helps!

Ds2 has a friend studying chemistry at Bristol and he absolutely loves it. However I think she should delve deeper into the rankings for that particular subject and what students typically tend to do afterwards.
