Does anyone have experience of their DCs doing this? In particular how the move to Ireland from the UK goes and any hints and tips on navigating healthcare, phones etc?
Thx

My friend’s ds is doing this now. I don’t know any of the logistical details but I do know he’s having a great year and has been very well supported by Primark. There’s a group of them living in ‘halls’ together.

Thanks @barleycorn. So far Primark have been really helpful and supportive. Accommodation has been allocated now so we have a move in date! It’s all getting very real

Can I ask which city they managed to live in university halls for their placement year ?

Son is starting a placement year in London in September and is starting to look at his options for where to live.

@cyclingmum67 - sorry Primark are based in Dublin so can’t help with London I’m afraid.

Thanks @Localher0- that's me reading the original post backwards :-)

The university I used to work at would have several students doing a placement at Primark each year. Seemed like a good company to work for, the students were well supported and worked on meaningful projects.
