Cardiff University

My niece may be attending Cardiff in September. She’s had a rough few years and some visa and immigration issues which mean that although she’s lived in the UK since she was 9 she won’t be entitled to any loans until her second year. We are looking at contributing something and are looking at the best way for us to do it for us and her.

I don’t find the information clear on the website though that may just be me. The online contact forms appear to only be for students. I’ve tried calling a few times this morning but not getting through.

Would I be safe in assuming that she can pay the tuition fees in three termly instalment’s? Would anyone have an idea of the payment dates for next academic year or even past years as that would be helpful.

If she gets university halls does anyone know if they can invoice someone else for payment?

Have got the information from the university now. Seems they were having some technical issues this morning.

Universities like to have fees paid in a single instalment. Sometimes they let you pay in two but finding the small print that allows you to request this is hard work IME.

Thanks @Ceramiq thankfully I found out that Cardiff allows three termly instalments for tuition and their accommodation. Makes things much more manageable.

From reading about fees as an overseas family, I've also noticed that many places allow payment by 3 installments.
