KCL insurance accommodation

Has anyone's DC got into KCL as an insurance choice? If so, did they manage to get a place in university accomodation?

It’s not a direct answer to your question but we recently did an open day and KCL said it was extremely unlikely that a study would get accommodation unless they put it as their firm.

Thanks for this. DD did an online accommodation talk and they didn't give a definite answer, so it's useful to hear this, thanks

Not on topic, but we’re waiting for an offer from KCL. Can I ask when your YP applied and when they got their offer? Trying to work out whether they really are taking 8 wks + to offer!

Applied in Nov and had offer in early January, but I can't remember the exact dates, but yes, probably about 8 weeks wait.

We were also told no accommodation unless you put it as first choice. Friends DD ended up a significant way out and it did affect her first year experience.
